Making A Difference
ANNUAL SUICIDE PREVENTION RALLY
Strength In Numbers: Inspiring masses of young medical and nursing students, political leaders, professors, IMA doctors, and NGOs gathering for the cause of social activism and community. We hope to raise 2017's 600+ participants with this year's local cycle rally.
EDUCATION & OUTREACH
Raising Awareness Within The Community: Awareness assemblies for the current and rising generations. As a troubling issue that affects the youth to the elderly, our community works to make sure that education and awareness of suicide prevention reaches all.
CANDLE RALLY
Lighting Up The Darkness: Participants from all fields gather to commemorate the symbolism of bringing awareness to a much-needed community— a walk out of the darkness. Covered by press and media, our candle rally is an annual positive message and a loved piece of Khammam, India's participation in World Suicide Prevention Day.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Interaction With Farmers and Rural Regions: Visiting rural areas and a handful of local villages for the specific awareness of safe pesticide usage and suicide prevention is one of our important annual efforts.
Regional Launch
Regional Launch of World Suicide prevention Day 2018 is done by District Medical and Health Officer Dr. Kondal Rao, in the presence of Indian Medical Association Khammam Branch President Dr.SriKala, Secretary Dr. Rehana Begam, Dr.Narayana Rao Secretary Khammam Psychiatric Society and me Dr.Sateesh Babu IASP National Representative on 31-August-2018 at 5.00PM.

Distribution of Pamphlets containing information regarding Suicide Prevention to passengers in Bus station and Railway station ,so that Pamphlets reach different places, Particularly to Villagers.

Suicide prevention awareness program in government junior college for Girls, in Khammam.
Around 500 students attended.Recently one girl student committed suicide by consuming Pesticide because of family problems .Planning to meet parents.

Today morning at 6am Pamphlets were distributed to around 250 walkers. Then had Suicide Prevention awareness session for 70 young Physical Education Trainees in the College ground.
We have conducted another awareness session for young police officer trainees in Pavilion grounds in the presence of coaches and parents of trainees

On the eve of WSPD an awareness rally was organised from Pavilion ground to Collectrate City Mayor Dr Papalal,DMHO Dr Kondalrao,State Psychatric Society President Dr Keshavrao,Asst Commissioner of Police,IMA President Dr Srikala,Medical students, Doctors Nursing students and others all together around 200 people participated.
